Malayalam actor Keerikkadan Jose dies at 70. Mammootty and Mohanlal pay tribute

Renowned Malayalam actor Mohanraj, better known as Keerikkadan Jose, died on October 3, at the age of 70. Jose, who was an enforcement officer before venturing into films, died at his residence in Kanjirankulam. His death was mourned by the Malayalam film industry, including actors Mammootty and Mohanlal.
The news of Mohanraj’s death was shared by actor and filmmaker P Dinesh Panicker on Facebook. His post read, “The villain in the movie Kireedam. Mohanraj, who portrayed Keerikkadan Jose, is now a memory (sic).”
Panicker and Mohanraj collaborated for several films, including Cheppu, Kilukkam Changathi, Rajaputhran, Pathram, Aram Thampuran, Hitler and Stalin Sivadas.

Mohanraj, who had a three-decade-long career in films, made a significant impact on the industry through his memorable villainous roles. His notable works include Uppukandam Brothers, Chenkol, Aaram Thampuran, and Narasimham.
He ventured into acting in his mid-30s, making his debut in the 1988 film Moonnam Mura.
